Strengthening the Power of Mind and Heart Through Thinking and Logical Reasoning

THINKING, REASONING AND INSIGHT

Each is born with its own personal nature. Not even identical twins have completely identical natures. Not even the human phenomena Abigail and Brittany Hensel, two human beings with two brains and two hearts in one body have completely identical natures. The nature of humans cannot be changed easily, if at all.

Nor is there a reason to change. Every man is a pure treasure, but he does not know it yet.

Every treasure in the human being can be recognized and nurtured so that man’s suffering can be alleviated as much as possible. Every one can unite his self within and without.

This is possible if the natural path is recognized and followed with dedication and inner sacrificing.

It is not difficult to recognize the way. A man just has to be completely honest with oneself. A man also needs stop thinking that he is something what he is not. Peace and solitude leads to this sincerity.

Fruitful thinking and reasoning leads to deep insight. Such richness of the mind and the wealth of spirit man creates in silence and deep quieting.

Message of Old Days

The oldest preserved spiritual texts are Indian scriptures.

They talk about Yoga (unification) and the entire life of a human being. They also talk about how to become a king without owning houses and cars.

A person who lives deeply thinking and reasoning is called a Raja yogi. You may now be surprised how someone can be called a yogi if he neither proudly wear a plastic rug is his bag nor does he have the money to pay yoga classes.

Raja Yogi

One of the paths of the nature of life is the way of thinking and reasoning. When it becomes strong and grounded this path leads to a clear insight into “something behind”. Pure insight makes a difference between what is true and what is false.

Raja literally means king. The path of the king without money and apartments is the path of tireless thinking and great tolerance towards both one’s own and the thoughts of others. Instead of material things these kings posses an open mind and great spirituality. Spirituality is not “I believe in God.”

An open mind is really an open mind.

Everyone can be a king. If his nature is reflection and reasoning and if he puts effort into his path, his path will empower both the spirit and the heart with no mistake. But this is possible only with great and honest self control.

Self control is not a fashion detail but a path of disciplined denial and strong will.

Raja Yoga is the unification of not only the “body, mind and spirit” (to repeat the same song that many do not understand either) but the unification which the original Yoga refers. It is the unity of the human soul with one higher soul, the soul of the universe.

Raja Yoga

… Is the Yoga of Spirit and Mind. Other names are Classical Yoga, Patanjali Yoga, Meditation Yoga or for the informed people: Yoga. Yoga is, among other things, one of the six Indian philosophies.

Patandjali is an Indian sage whom very little is known about and who is said to have composed the Yoga Sutras. These are wise, detailed and very precise thoughts about his and the experiences of Indian sages who lived even a few centuries before him.

These experiences (sutras) were transmitted by oral tradition.

No one knows exactly when this text was originated. There are various claims about the date of this text dating back to 400 BC. to 400 AD. In the Encyclopedia of Indian Philosophy, by Gerald James Larson and Ram Shankar Bhattacharya  (Volume XII, Yoga: India’s Philosophy of Meditation) is said to have originated at the beginning of our era between 350 and 450 AD.

However, the Yoga Sutra is the foundation of the Yoga Tradition.
